that Eric Clapton is the first-ever three time inductee of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
Born Eric Patrick Clapp on Mar 30, 1945 in Ripley Surrey, Clapton's "fame" started rolling in 1963 when he joined a London-based R&B group called the Roosters. This was followed by a string of band affiliations with the Yardbirds (who gave him the nick "Slowhand"), Bluesbreakers, Cream (the era London referred to him as "Clapton is God"), Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie, and Derek and the Dominos. His ongoing solo career that highlights him in world tours, concerts, record-breaking albums, and countless outstanding performances continues to shower him with accolades from the various music and academy award organizations worldwide. Clapton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Yardbirds, as a member of Cream, and as a solo artist.
